New films from Bullock and Dunstan
The Stuckists Photographers exhibit at this year's
Liverpool Biennial in The Lady Lever Art Gallery
The Stuckist Photographers
will be exhibiting at The Lady
Lever Art Gallery in Liverpool
from 18.9.04 - 15.2.05 as part
of 'The Stuckists Punk Victorian'
group show. The paintings will
be showing at The Walker.
This marks a step forward (?)
to recognition by the art
establishment and firmly puts
the group on the map as a major
movement in contemporary art.
Andy Bullock will be showing some work from previous shows plus new
pieces including 'Conversation Piece no.1' which marks a radical move into
'Cubist Photography'. Larry Dunstan wil be showing work from his recent
'Prost-ethics' exhibition plus stills from a new short film, 'E is for Endo'.
Wolf Howard will be showing a selection of his pin-hole photographs and
Charles Thomson has produced a new photographic installation entitled
'My Stuckist Life' which documents the history of The Stuckists using
photography and the written word.
Previewing new films by Larry Dunstan and Andy Bullock. This move takes the
Stuckist ethos into yet another medium. Dunstan has just completed 'E is for Endo'
a film that combines high fashion with his trademark ability to explore the darker
side. Andy Bullock is showing for the first time an experimental and highly political
music promo film for rock/rap band Senser as well as a short film he wrote and
directed for The National Youth Theatre featuring teenagers from local schools in
Hackney, east London; 'Contextually Yours' juxtaposes original Shakespearean
text with modern mobile phone text language. It is underpinned by a performance
of a speech from Hamlet by former RSC actor Paul Clayton and the whole is
played out to a modern trip-hop style soundtrack also written by Bullock
